Well.
This has been a year already, hasn't it?
Moving on.
If you're as sick as I am of the constant onslaught of increasingly enshittified social and blogging websites as I am, welcome to my new(ish) Queer Book Review blog!
With AI being shoved into everything, I, like many, have felt my longing for the days of The Old (Good) Internet, when things were simple, accessible, and, well.
Functioned.
And so, I have abandoned my old Wordpress blog. Sort of. It will remain up and available as I gradually migrate the posts I want to keep, and when I am done, it will be either archived or deleted. I will no longer be making new posts there.
So why choose BearBlog?
Obviously it's adorable ASCII mascot was a significant factor. I also appreciate both its simple markdown language and the ability to customize with html and CSS. With their simple preset themes and my absolutely mediocre coding knowledge it's easier to make the page do what I want than the awful fiddly boxes or static design constraints. It's also not providing monetized platforms to goddamned Nazis.
Anyway. Queer book reviews incoming!
And please rest assured; every single word, every em-dash, typo, and incoherent musing is 100% human, generated not by an LLM, but by my own imperfect, weird little brain.
